During the 2018-2019 academic year, the London College of Communication, Clermont Auvergne University, LUMSA University and IHECS were able to welcome new experts to their academic teams. Speakers from Syria, Burundi, Afghanistan and Yemen facilitated workshops and taught courses in different institutions.
These professionnals arrived in Belgium, Italy, France or the UK, where they were granted refuge status, bringing professional experience and skills enhancing training undertaken by students from participating institutions.
Durant l’année académique 2018-2019, le London College of Communication, l’Université Clermont Auvergne, l’Université LUMSA ainsi que l’IHECS ont pu accueillir de nouveaux experts dans leurs équipes académiques. Des intervenants venus de Syrie, du Burundi, d’Afghanistan ou encore du Yémen, ont animé des ateliers et donné des cours au sein des différentes institutions.
L’événement a rassemblé plus de 100 étudiants qui partent en Erasmus l’année prochaine.
Différentes activités étaient organisées tout au long de la journée. Des conférences d’invités internationaux ainsi qu’un spectacle de la ligue d’improvisation ont notamment permis d’aborder de nombreux thèmes comme l’Europe et l’interculturalité, mais aussi de réfléchir et d’échanger autour des clichés et stéréotypes liés aux différentes cultures.
From 8 November 2018 to 7 February 2019, IHECS gathered together for the first time in its workshops both our journalism students and self-taught journalists trained by years of fieldwork.
De 8 novembre 2018 au 7 février 2019, l’IHECS rassemblait pour la première fois dans ses ateliers nos étudiants en journalisme et des journalistes autodidactes formés par des années de terrain.
During their visit last November, Dimitri Balima and Lacina Kaboré received training in citizen journalism aimed at enhancing their teaching in Burkina Faso and to contribute to their research. They were also able to observe how the Brussels Bondy Blog works, to draw inspiration from it and to create a similar citizen media in Burkina Faso.
Lors de leur visite en novembre dernier, M. Dimitri Balima et M. Lacina Kaboré ont bénéficié d’une formation au journalisme citoyen qui avait pour objectif d’enrichir leurs enseignements au Burkina Faso et de contribuer à alimenter leurs recherches. Ils ont également pu observer le fonctionnement du Bruxelles Bondy Blog pour s’en inspirer et créer un média citoyen similaire au Burkina Faso.
