IHECS has a long history of working with Le Souverain. The first collaborative efforts date back to 2009 and participation in the City of Brussels' Solidarity Week during which IHECS held a conference and exhibition on Le Souverain's work (cartoons and photos). This initial interaction led to participation in an initial support project for this independent Sud-Kivu newspaper in 2010. Since this first project, IHECS has worked with Le Souverain on several cooperative or awareness-raising projects with the assistance of WBI or the City of Brussels.
During this first semester, four of our professors visited our partner institution in Moscow. It was the second trip for Laurent Poma and Thierry Maroit since they had already taken part in the "Erasmus + International Dimension" programme last March.
Durant ce premier quadrimestre, quatre de nos enseignants ont rendu visite à notre institution partenaire à Moscou. Pour Laurent Poma et Thierry Maroit, il s’agissait déjà d’une seconde édition puisqu’ils avaient déjà participé au programme “Erasmus + Dimension internationale” en mars dernier.
L’IHECS a une longue histoire de collaboration avec le journal Le Souverain. Les premières collaborations remontent à 2009 avec la participation à la semaine de la Solidarité de la Ville de Bruxelles au cours de laquelle l’IHECS a proposé une conférence et une exposition de travaux du Souverain (caricatures et photos). Ce premier contact a conduit, en 2010 à la participation à un premier projet de soutien à ce journal indépendant du Sud-Kivu.
Thanks to support from ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility, four Moldovan students are currently taking the programme in English at IHECS and have participated in Integration Week (an orientation week held each year to welcome new foreign students joining IHECS for an exchange programme) during this first semester 2017-2018.
Durant ce premier semestre 2017-2018, grâce au soutien d'ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility, quatre édudiantes moldaves suivent actuellement le programme en anglais à l’IHECS et ont participé à l’Integration week (semaine d’accueuil organisée chaque année en l’honneur des nouveaux étudiants étrangers qui intègrent l’IHECS pour un programme d’échange).
Whether they hailed from Mexico, Korea, Moldova, or the United Kingdom, the 57 new international students were pampered just before classes resumed for the new school year.
Qu’ils viennent du Mexique, de Corée, de Moldavie ou même du Royaume-Uni, les 57 nouveaux étudiants internationaux ont été chouchoutés juste avant d’entamer l’année académique et la reprise des cours.
Le 26 mars dernier, l’IHECS envoyait pour la première fois deux enseignants à l’étranger hors Europe avec le programme Erasmus +: Laurent Poma et Thierry Maroit ont rejoint la Faculté de journalisme de la Lomonosov Moscow State University pour y encadrer les étudiants russes lors d’un atelier de photojournalisme.
