Brussels takes it easy, a supplement to the LE SOIR newspaper produced by our Master 2 Journalism students

03.03.2022
As part of the "Brussels field survey" course supervised by Philippe Laloux and Jean-François Leconte (Le Soir), 11 students produced a supplement which will be available online on 4 March and in paper format on 5 March.

Brussels takes it easy: diving into the capital's water management

Water is everywhere. It fails us in times of drought, and overwhelms us during increasingly frequent floods. Water surrounds us and Brussels, like other cities, is rediscovering its social, environmental, cultural and recreational functions. The intensification of urbanisation and the climate crisis pose challenges to our capital. Are its inhabitants at risk of suffering from thirst? Drowning? How do water cycle stakeholders reconcile urban growth and sustainable management of our blue gold resources? These questions - and many others – are the focus of the survey conducted by 11 Master 2 students, in collaboration with Le Soir. Getting to the heart of the capital's water management.
