Come and teach

All over Europe, the migration crisis is influencing our ways of living and thinking about society. By integrating refugee and asylum seeker professionals into its teaching staff, IHECS intends to highlight their expertise and support them in their journey of professional integration. IHECS also offers its students a pluralistic and intercultural education that responds to the democratic challenges of their future profession as journalists or communications specialists. It thus aims to permanently alter the social and media representations of migration in Belgium.

This project was launched in 2018-2019 within the framework of the European CoLab project, co-financed by the DISCO (Democratic and Inclusive School Culture in Operation) programme of the Council of Europe.

It was renewed in 2020 thanks to the support of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (Promotion de la Citoyenneté et de l’Interculturalité/Promotion of Citizenship and Interculturality) and the Citizensforeurope.eu network.
