Visit Brussels presents an award to IHECS

02.05.2023
On Thursday 27 April, IHECS received an Award at the Meetings Ambassadors Night for the organisation of the inaugural European Journalism Conference in Brussels.

Last November, we organised with our partners from Journaliste & Citoyenneté the first edition of the European Journalism ConferenceVisit Brussels wanted to present us with an Award for this organisation. And it merited an introduction and some thanks in English. On receiving the award, Nordine Nabili, Head of the Department of Journalism, said, "I am very happy for the IHECS team. It’s a great reward for us. Thank you very much", before thanking Jean-François Raskin, General Manager, for his commitment and for the serious work undertaken by the internal teams, as well as our French partners from Journalisme & Citoyenneté. He then answered the question on what would motivate IHECS to apply again for Brussels in the future, insisting on the will of the two partners, evident from the announcement of the inaugural edition, to make Brussels the European capital of journalism, the meeting place for new generations and the laboratory for new editorial practices.

This event makes it possible to offer European information professionals and students an event rich in discussions and opportunities for exchange. On the strength of this successful and inspiring inaugural edition, he expressed the wish to construct a virtuous dynamic with new partners to consolidate the Brussels Conference and make it an essential event for the profession. He concluded by announcing the plan to organise the second edition of the European Journalism Conference in November 2024.
