Kayene exhibits his caricatures at IHECS

29.10.2021
Yves Kulondwa, known by his artist name "Kayene", is a Congolese journalist-caricaturist. Loft 58 is hosting an exhibition of his works until 12 November.

For this collection, the young illustrator decided to highlight the negative impact of mankind on the planet and how this impact leads to catastrophic consequences both for us and for the world around us.

"À Terre!" is an exhibition that challenges, shocks and confronts realities that we would sometimes like to sweep under the carpet. Kayene's goal is to launch the dialogue with a fresh and very familiar approach: a picture is worth a thousand words.

Yves Kulondwa knows IHECS well, since he has already had the opportunity to exhibit his works with us in the past. It is always a pleasure to welcome him to our institution so that he can share his work with our community.

This project is co-financed by the City of Brussels and its International Solidarity Unit.

The "À Terre!" exhibition

The theme introduced concerns the destruction of our planet. The "À Terre!" exhibition offers a frank and honest illustration of the short-term dangers of pollution and deforestation.
