Opening of the Communication & Media syllabus created by IHECS and IUR

23.09.2020
IHECS and the International University of Rabat are creating a "Communication and Media" syllabus in Morocco for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The programme will be organised over two cycles: a thee-year Bachelor’s degree and a two-year Master’s degree. This will train the next generation of Moroccan professionals in advertising, public relations and journalism.

In addition to the exchange of students, teachers and educational tools between IUR and IHECS, this collaboration facilitates the setting up of joint research activities as well as the joint organisation of conferences and seminars covering various subjects and disciplines. In its press release, IUR also specifies that IHECS will be supporting its new partner in the creation of new courses and new programmes.

This syllabus will provide training for a variety of roles involving functions such as institutional communication executive, crisis communication specialist, partnership relations, journalist, press officer, management within polling organisations, communications consultant, internal or external communications manager, marketing manager, public relations advisor or agency consultant.

Upon graduation, graduates of the "Communication and Media" degree will continue their studies by integrating a two-year Master’s degree and a mobility programme over the last two semesters at IHECS.

The "Communication and Media" Master’s degree will offer three options for specialisation – in public relations, in advertising and corporate communication and in specialised press and communication.

The training will start at the end of September 2020 and will welcome students to the 1st year of the Bachelor’s degree. The launch is planned for 26 September 2020.
