The IHECS’perience is just a click away

08.09.2015
The brand new website developed by IHECS students in order to inform international candidates is finally online.

Greeted with enthusiastic testimonials from Clément (France), Fernando (Spain), Tanya (United States), Lars (Norway), Patrick (Germany), Julien (Belgium), Julia (Sweden) and Macarena (Ecuador), website users are invited to discover the key details of what they need to know about the exchange programme.

Let’s discover IHECS

Other than essential information on the organisation of classes given at IHECS, these pages give prospective students an overview of the different master’s programmes on offer (PR, Press & Information, Advertising, Sociocultural Activities and Continuing Education and Media Education) and allow them to discover the different media they will learn about via practical workshops (photography, video, radio, computer graphics and multimedia). To make things even more tangible, they also have the chance to access work performed by students in previous years online.

Let’s enjoy Bruxelles

The website obviously focuses on the city of Brussels and its hotspots, without forgetting to highlight the strategic location of the school at the heart of the capital, a strong argument for student life.

Let’s try the challenge

Initially, the website was commissioned by the IHECS ‘International Exchanges’ department, from students in the PR department as part of their media dissertation. Faced with an explosion in demand and because it is constantly evolving, it’s no surprise that the department needed a higher profile. Its first purpose is to provide clear information for prospective students, requested by partner institutions potentially interested in an exchange period in Brussels at IHECS. Designed by students, for students, the idea was to address them from the same perspective due to their age, personal experience (as some IHECS students took part in an exchange programme themselves) and based on the principle that they share the same language and vision despite their different origins. Who better than students to share the Brussels IHECSperience and convince other students to join the institution they chose themselves? The challenge was set! Mission accomplished for Olivier Hannes – Elisa Ruwet – Aurian VanDerStegen – Yzaline Rézette – Marie-Charlotte Thiry – Thaïs Smeekens – Elizabeth Devriendt – Olivia Peebles
