ULB and IHECS have signed a reciprocal joint degree agreement for the Master’s Degree in Applied Specialised Communications – Public Relations.

From the start of the next academic year, the Master’s Degree in Applied Specialised Communications – Public Relations will be delivered jointly by the two signatory institutions – the Institute for Higher Social Communication Studies (IHECS) and the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

Tuesday, June 2, the authorities of the ULB and IHECS gathered in the rector's hall of ULB to sign the agreement for the joint organisation and mutual recognition of the Master’s Degree in Applied Specialised Communications – Public Relations.

As the institution of reference, IHECS shall remain responsible for the management of its students. All students enrolled in the first year of Master's Degree in Public Relations will study for 20 credits from the ULB. These credits will be integrated coherently and harmoniously into the other activities of their course curriculum which will comprise 120 credits spread over two years.

The two partner institutions will also commit to a joint approach for developing research into public relations and corporate communications, through the commitment of IHECS to provide a researcher who will join the research teams at the ULB Department of Information and Communication Sciences.  This research will be undertaken on behalf of the two partner institutions.

This agreement marks a new step in the successful collaboration between these two institutions, who already signed a cooperation agreement last September.
