Ali Al Helli, Laura Collard, Marie Debauche, Léna Gheys, Émile Herman and Inés Verheyleweghen, students at IHECS, received the "Young Journalists" prize sponsored by the Hippocrène Foundation for their report entitled "Conversations dans la cuisine, avec les russophones de Lettonie" ("Conversations in the kitchen with Russian speakers from Latvia").

This video report reports on the daily life of the Russian minority, which represents a real socio-political issue in the relations between the two countries. The students questioned how the Russian diaspora constructs its identity and its integration – successful or otherwise – into Latvian society. This work, carried out as part of the media report project, received a very high award from the jury comprising several professional journalists last January.
