Opening of registrations for our Master 60 in Journalism and Public Relations!

24.02.2023
From September 2023, IHECS is offering two one-year Master’s programmes through evening classes! One is in Journalism, and the other is in Public Relations.

From the start of the next academic year, IHECS will be launching two courses: a Master 60 in Journalism and a Master 60 in Public Relations.

These courses are primarily intended for those who already have a Master’s degree and who wish to improve certain skills or simply make a career change.

Classes will take place at our various locations for two evenings a week and on Saturdays.

These first two Master’s programmes will be followed by two more in 2024, one in Advertising and the other in Sociocultural Activities and Lifelong Learning.

What is the Master 60?

The Master 60 is a one-year Master’s programme recognised by the French community. It is a Master’s programme in the same way as a Master 120, but does not allow one to pursue 3rd cycle studies, in particular at the doctoral level.

The difference between a Master 60 and a Master 120 at IHECS

As their names suggest, these Master’s programmes are fundamentally different, and all the more so at IHECS.

Our Master 120 provides a smooth transition between theoretical training and practical training in languages and media. It prepares our full-time students, graduates from our Bachelor’s degree in applied communication, for the world of work. It aims to provide them with the skills to be able to work autonomously and to train them for the job market.

Conversely, the Master 60 is aimed at people who have already undergone training but who wish to enhance it or simply reorient themselves. Given the nature of these training courses, they are organised in the evening and on Saturdays to allow professionally active people to resume their studies.  Our Master 60 is entirely theoretical; the schedule and the one-year and evening nature of the course do not allow for an in-depth study of practical aspects. Without being completely absent from the programme, the media do not benefit from dedicated workshops, because they do not undergo any training in languages.
