Four IHECS students at an international newsroom!
Four first- and second-year Master's students from the Journalism department were in Paris to participate in an inter-school newsroom as part of the Francophonie Summit.
Gathered in the newsroom just a stone's throw from the Gaîté Lyrique, where the Francophonie Festival was taking place, Malik Djelloud, Marie-Eugène Cifende, Maëlle Trevisan and Guillaume De Schutter mingled with students from Côte d'Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal, and Romania to cover the Francophonie event.
This international newsroom provided an opportunity for intensive networking and training for the students, who worked in pairs over the course of three days.
Various topics were covered, including ecology, French-language music, and Parisians' favourite French expression.
The initiative is part of the Theophrastus Network, which brings together French-speaking journalism schools. It was coordinated by the Tours Public School of Journalism (EPJT), which was able to organise the event thanks to a partnership with CFI, a media development operator of the France Médias Monde group.
The best journalistic output will be awarded prizes. The results will be announced on 18th October!
The journalistic works can be viewed on social media, including on Mammouth Media’s Tik Tok account and on Instagram.
