A 10th edition of the Canon Scholarship marked by generosity
Ten years of collaboration with a partner like Canon is not something that happens every day. It was therefore important to mark the occasion during this anniversary edition. To do so, the event, which usually takes place in the Velge auditorium, was moved to LOFT 58.
During the evening, five groups of students from the Master's programmes in Press and Information and Cultural and Social Communication took turns presenting their media projects according to the Pecha Kucha rules: 20 slides, 20 seconds each, or 6 minutes and 40 seconds to convince a jury of experts composed of Jan De Block, Kevin Hermans and Joachim Devedeleer.
While Canon Belgium usually plans to support one or two groups, the relevance, creativity and rigour of the work presented convinced the three professionals to reward three groups.
During the evening, the jury awarded prizes to the groups "Plan Q", "Zone 404" and "Illusion scolaire". That said, the three representatives from Canon Belgium were keen to praise the diversity and richness of all the projects submitted.
Finally, the evening ended with a drinks reception.
We congratulate the winners of this 10th edition and warmly thank Canon Belgium for their support of our students over the past ten years.
